Southwest Ticket funds question

Hi Everyone!

Please forgive me if this has been answered before, but I'm not sure how to do this.

I need to take an unexpected flight to FL for a family issue and I have $195 credit to use with them from my flight prices dropping. How do I use it to book a new flight? Do I use the confirmation # for our flights in the promo code box in the beginning? Or do I wait to the end and will there be a place for me to put it there?

I guess I'm concerned because the confirmation # that these ticketless funds are available under is from a flight we have not gone on yet. We don't fly to MCO til Aug 20th. Sorry for my ignorance. My mind isn't working very well at the moment.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

The way you do it is you go through the whole process of selecting the flights you want to the point your filling in the passenger information and etc... There is a section called add funds. You click the button that will bring up some more options. From there you just take the confirmation number from reservation that has outstanding fund and enter the 1st passenger's name on that reservation and it will add the funds to your fare and let you know if there is anything extra that you would need to pay out.
