Do the emergency exit row seats have more leg room than the others? We're flying out in a couple of weeks and are getting to the airport really early... we should be one of the lowest "Numbers" in the cattle call. Where are the best seats?

THe plane is a 737 300 series.

Thanks,
Holly

Just travelled on SW 10.31 - leg room not larger on exit isles.............

If your travelling with a party of 5 or 6 try the facing seats - cozy and interactive.

Don't worry about getting there early. People usually do not line up immediately, so about 1.2 hours prior is plenty to get 1-30 seating........

Just traveled on SWA this past week. We were on new planes. There is one row that only has two seats in front of it .... the exit row. There is more leg room in that one seat but the other two are about the same. They elimianted the two seats facing each other on the new planes. It is configued like all other planes.

Also, be aware that if you sit in the two seats facing each other the leg room can get cramped if people have long legs. If you are traveling with kids it is great...especially the one in the back by the bathroom.

It will depend whether you get a new plane or an old one.

I forgot...

On SWA your seating choices may depend on whether your flight originates at your airport. If it is a new flight, starting at your airport and not a connecting flight coming from someplace else...then if you are in the first 60 you will have a pretty good selection.

However, if it is coming from someplace else and continuing...there will be people already on the plane...those traveling with kids under 5 and with disabilities will be boarded first...then 1-30. In that case you would want to be in the 1-30 group for better seating options.

Ted will be picking me up at work the day we leave... it is halfway to the airport. It would take too long for me to drive home and then leave. BUT, that puts us at the airport 2 1/2 hours before our flight. We'll have plenty of time and there is no reason why we should not be in the first 30 boarding. The plane comes from Orlando and then flies back to Tampa, so we'll be entering an empty plane. So far, the flight is not full, so we should have our pick of seats. It's only the two of us, so I'm not sure about the seats facing each other. We just want to find the "best" ones in terms of comfort!

Any more suggestions? The ones you have given us so far are great! Keep 'em coming!

Thanks,
Holly
