They opened it up this morning. I was able to snag my flights for just over 8,000 points per person, one way. Those seats are already 1,600 points more than what I paid!

We looked and October has the same price for the whole month. Various flights throughout summer and sept are cheaper. Should I wait or book? Travel funds won't help me as we aren't flying next year.

Tough call. One of the reasons that I like using RR points is because they get returned to my account if I re-book at a lower price rather than being issued ticket less travel credits.

It's a popular time to visit Disney (F&W, MNSSHP, moderate weather, Jewish holidays, fall breaks, Columbus Day weekend). If you're traveling on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday those Wanna Get Away seats may sell out before they go down. The cost for my flights went up right after I booked and have now doubled since yesterday morning. Since they are Saturday flights, I don't expect their price to go below what I paid.

You can use a fare predictor like the Hopper app to help you decide when to pull the trigger. Fare predictors are not foolproof, so you do take a chance. Once you choose to buy your tickets, it's best to not look at the fares afterward unless you have a use for the travel funds. They will expire a year from the day that you originally purchased your tickets.

We found steep prices and horrible flight times to/from Orlando on SW from Louisville. Coming home from Disney would have us on Magical Express by 3:30 AM. No thanks. Looks like yet another flight on Delta this year.

AZ to FL is so pricey I'm hoping the birthday deal I will be able to afford, but wow its close since there releasing dates now.
