Hey

Has anyone ever "changed" their Southwest flight to get a cheaper price? If so, what can you use that credit on? Is it only another airfare, or can you use it to do early check in and/or buy snacks?

Thanks

Thats a me too for a answer to the question above.

Our DAL to LAX flights have changed from $99 each way when we booked them to current $80 for the SW 72 hour sale.

What do you mean by "changed"?

I assume that you have already purchased SW tix. If so, you'll need to check your fine print about how much flexibility you have with that ticket. American airlines are notorious about fineprint and if you bought the flight as a no-flex for a "low fare", then if you want to make any changes, you'll be up for fees. The last time I looked, it was $100-$150 per ticket per route.

I thought SW were a little more flexible, and if the cost of flights reduced you could get a credit (not a refund).

I just want to know if it is worth it - I would be getting back about $150.00 but if I can only use it on another fare then probably not, as I don't think I will be back in the next 12 months...next trip for me 2013! (Can you believe I am planning 2013 - haven't been on 2011 yet!!!):rotfl:
