None of the sales worked for me, but flights that were normally best price of 140 (PVD to mco) are on sale for $90!

Thanks! Just got 3000 points credited back to my account for my August flights. Now I definitely have enough points for a free flight for April vacation:thumbsup2

That is awesome!!!

my Dec flights out of Hartford, purchased with points equalling $99, are now over $200 :scared1:

It seems lately that Hartford is never included in the big sales. But, I do find that if you look, and look, and look like everyday look, you can get deals. Our return flights in May went from $114 to $83 for like 3 1/2 minutes one night & I was able to save 5400 points!! Ya gotta look!!!

Dont' feel left out. Houston isn't usually included either. Luckily got my arrival flights for 99/person. It was is back up to 176 again already. The flight home is even worse.

Hopefully others have better luck!

I was shocked to see some flights out of MHT reduced. Of course it's only dates where schools are in session so it doesn't help most people I know, but I do get that they're trying to sell seats for flights that aren't as easy to fill and us families with school aged kids fill the flights that I can take advantage of. Sigh... At least my airport finally got a sale.

The flights I got credit on from MHT this morning were August 7 and 13. Not ideal travel time to Orlando from New England, but not during school either:) I highly doubt, though, that we'll see much reduction in vacation week (Dec, Feb, April) prices, just because that's a more concentrated demand period.

Just re booked our flights for our December honeymoon trip and was credited with over 5,000 points due to the sale prices.

Success!

Absolutely no help from Baltimore in November. Flights on Friday Sat and Sun all went up. I think we might just cancel our November trip. There are some less expensive flights on Wednesdays, but not everyone can work with thay schedule.

Houston is getting no love on this. Our flights are 176 out and 193 back. I may seriously consider going before mid-November next year just to take advantage of the big sale in June.

IJust as PP said, Baltimore flights went up in November. We are considering driving for the 1st time.

Neither is Dallas. I wished ours were even that cheap for late Oct/early Nov. I can get $131.00 down there and $229.00 back. The $131.00 isn't a great time though. The flights I would like are $229.00 each way before taxes.:scared:

Absolutely, postively, most definetly.....no help from Chicago MDW either for Nov - Dec flights. What a shock.

I understand things have gone up, but we went to Disney the same week last year. Just out of curiousity, I checked our charge for SW last year. in 2011, our rt flights were 196 each. This year, the lowest are 316 each. As I said in an earlier post, we could reduce that cost by flying mid week. Unfortunately, work doesn't accomodate that.

to get the best fares, you have to be willing and/or able to play the game. You have to check your flights daily, you have to be able to fly some day other than Sat/Sun, you have to be able to fly very early or very late, you have to fly off peak times.

I am lucky in that I can do all of that so I have never paid more than $99 for a OW flight Hartford to Orlando, cheapest was $59 in 2007.

Next trip is the Thursday after Thanksgiving 11/29 returning Tues 12/4 to visit DD and see the X-mas decorations for the first time!!!
