Southwest Rewards CC - how long to see points?

If you have a Southwest Rewards credit card - how long after you pay on the card before you see the points show up in your Rapids Rewards account?

Paying is irrelevant. Points seem to post just a couple days after the billing cycle closes. Bonus points can take an extra month. If you met the threshold in the last few days of your billing cycle, the bonus points will likely post with the next month's statement.

I'm disappointed this morning because I opened a southwest card with the 60,000 bonus point offer on 6/27. I received the card on July 7. I spent the required amount on dental work on 7/10. It actually posted on 7/11 and the statement cut on 7/11! I didn't get the bonus points. I guess I'll have to wait another month. I don't need the points now, but it's just disappointing. I was expecting the points on the first statement.

It's not based on when you pay, it's based on when your statement closes. If they are points from purchases, they will credit to your RR account within a couple pf days following your closing date. If they are bonus RR points, they can take anywhere from 6-8 weeks.

Seems like that should have been enough time. Did it take a while for your purchases to post? I've said that the charges have to post at least 10 days prior to the end of the billing cycle, but others have argued that it's closer to 3-5 days. Your's seems to be right on the edge.

The bonus points usually take a few weeks after you make the minimum spend.

Update from the OP!! My 60,000 points posted today. I made my qualifying purchase on July 7th and my points (including bonus) appeared today, July 13th. Woo hoo!!

It will be a full month since my last bill close this coming week. My bonus has yet to show. Last time it took almost three months to show. Hoping they'll do better at the 6-8 week promise this time.
