I have booked my tickets for March 10 and returning March 17. There is a chance that we may not be able to go this time but we will go again either this summer or next March. I went on and bought the tickets because they were selling out so fast. I saw the prices going up in just an hour and a half after the times were released today so I didn't want to wait. I read all I could find before I booked but after I printed out my ticket I saw that if I rescheduled it would have to be by 11/16/07, one year from the day I bought the tickets. I thought it would be one year from the date of the flight! I called SW and they were not help.

Has anyone ever had luck getting an extension of the credit for the tickets? I was thinking we could use the credit for March of 2008 if we had to. Thanks in advance.

Sometimes they have extended for a few months. But the vouchers have always been from date booked or purchased . This is because you could just keep booking and canceling to extend the time.

If you are in a pinch you can sell or give your voucher to recoup some of your lost money.
