There is a big price difference between the two legs of my flight in December. I want to book one way now and hope the other way comes down in price in the months to come. Has anyone done this? Booked a one-way trip on Southwest, and then later booked the other way? Thanks.

That is the best way to book SW. You don't get penalized price wise for booking separate one-ways, and you have a better chance of getting the lowest price. Also, go to their website and sign up for Ding! You will possibly get a GREAT fare for your flights through Ding!

Thanks for the reply Carol. I actually did sign up for/downloaded the Ding last week, but have yet to receive any Dings. How often do they usually appear? We put about five airports ...

DINGS come a few times per day but are usually only avaialbe for a few hours and you need to be at your computer to know they are there.
