I'm booked at OKW from 11/26 (Sunday after turkey day) to 12/2. My question is, the departing prices are so much money right now to Orlando that I'm wondering if there's a better chance of the prices coming down on a departing flight to Tamap instead of Orlando? I'm flying out of Providence. The price is $207 one way to Orlando and 157 to tampa. The return flight is 157 from orlando and 59.00 from tampa. Any thoughts?

I don't think so.

If I was flying that day I would buy NOW! If you can deal with Tampa jump on it.

That is the busiest travel day in the US from ALL airports not just MCO. Chances are good that flights for that day will only go up. (And the $59 return is great!)

yeah but then you have to figure in the cost of a rental car if you weren't planning on already getting one.
good luck with your decision

renting a car anyway.

I think you may have messed up if you didn't book.

I just looked this flight up on 11/26 All I see are the Special Fares at $207 and the Refundables at $224. ALL the other fares are showing unavailable. Orlando has the exact same situation.

It's very rare I feel confident saying there isn't going to be a sale, but I do in this case. The longer you wait the less options you have and the risk is that not only will the cheap fares be gone ALL flights will be gone

If you can fly Sat or Monday you can still get the $157, but even that has limited options. So I wouldn't expect a sale then either.

If you are booking Southwest you don't have to worry, you can book into Tampa and if the Orlando prices come down you can re-book. It's not like other airlines where you can't change your departure cities.

If your airfares are booked, thats good. It is possible that a ding will come out. Just keep on top of it and as they come out, book one way at a time that way, it won't be such a hassel to rebook RT if they come out because sometimes they are on specific days of the week. Personally, I think that SW marks those cheap flights as unavailable so when the dings and sales do come up, they can free them up. It's happened to me before. You can always keep the credit on file for up to a year. It's definitely worth it. My husband's going to Tampa this weekend with some friends to see the RED SOX  :thumbsup2 and I couldn't get him home out of Tampa so he's flying out of Orlando for $49. It's worth the short drive!!!
