We have SW credit from a price drop. I know there is a one year use date on the credit. However, I need some clarification... Does the credit need to be used towards the purchase of a flight within the one year or does the actual flight need to take place within that one year time frame?

Credit must be used on a flight within 1 year of purchase date. Example: purchased on June 1, 2014, price drops. Credit must be used for a flight that leaves before (and maybe on) June 1, 2015

Also be aware that when you use Travel Funds, any new money you add inherits the expiration date of the oldest funds used.

Example: You purchase a flight on March 1, 2014 and weeks later the price drops giving you $40 in travel funds. You have until March 1, 2015 to complete travel using those funds so later this year you book a flight for Feb 2015 using the $40 in Travel Funds and $100 in cash. Weeks later you have to cancel that flight and move your trip to April so you get back $140 in Travel Funds, all of which expire March 1, 2015.

We have Refund Money to be used by mid November 2014. Too bad our next trip is not planned until April 2015.
