Southwest Luggage Question

I am looking at buying the kids new rolling duffles from LLBean before our trip next month. Can anyone tell me if this is too big as checked luggage?

16"H x 30"W x 14 1/2" D

They only have Medium and XLarge in the rolling duffle I am looking at but I don't know if the XL will be too big.

Well, you're just under the 62 linear inch rule IF those dimensions include wheels. I'd be more concerned about going overweight with it though. That's a big bag and I'm sure you can get a whole lot in there! How much does it weigh empty?

The medium is 12 1/4" H x 21 3/4" W x 11" D.

Not sure if that one would be too small???
