Southwest Jan 6/7/8 dilemma? Any thoughts?

So I checked MCO-BUF, TPA-BUF and RSW (Ft. Myers)-BUF for Jan 6/7 or 8. We are pretty flexible and can fly home from either of these airports on any of these dates.

Looking at the current SWA sale, it looks like for these 3 city pairs, any dates from Dec 20-Jan 9 are excluded. I really wouldn't consider my Jan dates to be considered high season but for some reason have been excluded from the sale.

My ? : has anyone been in the same situation (dates before and after the dates you need to fly are on sale but not the dates you are looking for)? If so, did your dates ever come on sale?? I don't mean DING, but a Tues/Fri SWA sale of some other sort of internet seal sale????

Any opinions would really be appreciated. I just find it odd that these dates were excluded from the current sale.

Yes it has to be SWA. I have a small credit that I have to use up and I already have all of the BUF-MCO tickets purchased, just need flights to get home.

It is strange, as of this morning, SWA has loaded some internet only prices for our dates. They are not $147 but are still quite high ($109). As of last night, they only offered promotional fares at $147+.

Now I wonder if I should book at $109 or sit tight and see if these prices get lowered?? I won't be able to use a SWA credit since we won't be going to FL again in the next year (I don't think so anyway).

Any thought? Should I book at $109 or wait a little longer???

PS - Congrats to everyone who was able to get $59 for both their outbound and inbound flights!! Wish I was as lucky!!!!!

We always go this time of year, so we have the same issues about airfare prices.

I believe most schools are out that week as well, so it is still high season, and a very busy weekend for travelling.

Thanks for the info. Yes, our school district is out until Jan 8, that is why we want to come home sometime on the 6/7 or even the 8th (last choice).

Maybe I should just book at the $109 rate ????

Last year I had a DING fare though for $45 for the same weekend, so was kind of hoping for something a little less then $109.

I'm still waiting for a rate that low out of Toronto It may be a while.

At this point we are waiting it out a bit longer, but I keep telling my dh, we may have to pay for it in bucks later!
