Southwest in December

This was also posted in the Disneyland thread but wanted to put it here also. The flight schedule for December changed and I got an email about a change to my flight to Orlando. The flight they choose for me was not ideal and it said I could change to any flight including changing to another local airport. I was able to change my flight leaving out of the airport closer to my house that leaves early in the morning and able to get a non-stop flight home. I love that Southwest does the right thing for their passengers.

One note if you choose to change your flight from one airport to another make sure the transfer your Early Bird over to your new flight. Mine got messed up and they had to refund my early bird and then I had to pay for it again. It was a hassle for me but I was still overjoyed with my new flight that I won't complain too much.

yes whenever you change flights with SWA online the EBCI money does not transfer. You have to call to have it taken care of. The only problem then is that you are not able to ever modify the reservation online yourself.. For example if you called the customer service agent to make a change to your reservation then later on you notice the price goes down on your flight and you want to rebook your flight to get the credit. The system will not let you do it online you have to call to do it because the last transaction done on that reservation was done by a human and not a computer. Stinks because you have to call but at least you can still get the credit

I got the same email this week. They eliminated the flight I had originally booked from their schedule. Unfortunately the new flight they chose for me is two days later! I haven’t had a chance to call yet.
