Hi Everyone
I was just able to book flights for Nov 26 thru Dec 4. :bounce:The main page still says Oct. 29th but when you click on reservations it shows flights into Dec. I leave out of MHT and the flights have been restructured for different. I was able to book $79 each way for 4 of us.
Good luck to you all

Restructured how?

Unfortunately we are returning on Dec. 12th, so I could only book the flight down from PVD to MCO. $69/ticket though...not too bad. Less than $400 for the 5 of us.

Hi,
Restuctured in that there are new flights old flights have different times. flight numbers changed. I have booked the same flights for 3 years now and they have all changed but I am thrilled with my rate!

Yep - I just checked - at 5:30 am, they still were only open to Oct. 29th, and at 8:39 am, they are booking through the 11th - I was looking at Dec 9th through the 13th - the return still isn't available yet, and the 9th NS in the morning is already sold out at the internet rate!!!!

I did like the addition of a non-stop from MCO to MHT at 7:30 pm! That will be my new flight home of choice - almost a full day at the parks!

Gosh, this makes choosing flying or driving in Dec. difficult! Even with $69 rates for MHT, I think driving will still be cheaper in the long run. And we get to bring along alot more stuff: food, water, fun noodles, etc.

Like so many, I've been waiting for December to open up. Got out tickets for 12/4-12/9 out of Islip! Yeah! Hope to see some of you guys down there.

Yeah !!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Got our Dec flights booked - PHL to MCO 176.70 pp rnd trip total - flight times were exactly what we wanted !! - and I love knowing that if the rates are lowered I can get a credit to hold for up to 1 year towards my next flight !

My 1st SW experience - think I'm going to like it - I do so far !:smooth:

SW added 22 new flights. They didn't add enough new aircraft so some flights got dropped and some times got changed.

:wave2: Hello fellow NH-ite!

You are a brave person to be driving all the way from NH! DH and I have thought about it once or twice, but we can't even handle the 3 hour drive to my Mom's camp in Maine!! Even though I really don't enjoy flying, I enjoy getting to Orlando within 3 hours. Have fun on your trip!!

Hey Sammy! Fellow NASHUA-ite! :wave2:
And fellow BVC owner!

We actually like driving and having our own vehicle with us in WDW. We drove down in January with our 6 mo. old! Straight through on the way down too. This trip he'll be 1 1/2, so it will be much harder, I think. And much more stopping. And it would be fun to have our van with our personalized license plate too: "DVC-BCV"

Sorry for going OT!

WOW - I normally fly Delta from BUF to MCO but I saw this sale and had to check it out. 175.20 r/t with 2 non-stop flights for 11/26 - 12/3. That's $40 less than I paid for the same dates last year. I could not beat the price or the awesome flight times - they were exactly what I was looking for. So happy right now. Only 2 weeks until my cruise AND I just saved money for my next trip. YEA!

I'm a little bummed. I just booked Southwest out of Manchester to Orlando and had to pay $277 r/t. I'm leaving from Saco, Maine so it is about an hour and a half to get to Manchester. So, the people we are traveling with didn't want the 7:00 a.m. flight. We opted for the 11:30a.m. flight going down which is non-stop. Great when you are traveling with kids. Coming home I was only able to get the 12:35 flight which brings us back to Manchester at 2:15 p.m. There are still seats available for the $69 & $79 rate but they leave MCO at 7:45 and have 1 or 2 stops which wouldn't get us home in Maine until well after midnight. I'm hoping they discount these fares as the dates get closer like what just happened last week.

I'm hoping to talk my friends that are traveling with us to go for the later flight coming home to save a little bit of money, however, the $69 & $79 rates for our departure date have already been sold out.

It is still alot cheaper than the other airlines and for flying out of Manchester instead of Portland, Maine. At least the travel plans are complete now. This was the last piece that I needed to do and I'm just glad it is done. I'll keep checking to see if anything opens up between now and then.

I too, just booked our flights from MHT for Nov 13-21. Does anyone know when they opened? I've been checking every morning, and was surprised at the limited options for NS flights. Also surprised that so many flights said unavailable. Does that mean they were blocked out, or booked immediately by someone? Also, what are the chances of them (the internet specials) opening up later- is it worth checking periodically?

I have a friend who is a Southwest "expert" if you will. She seems to think that we may be able to get lower fares as the dates get closer. Of course, there is no guarantee to this. She goes to MCO a couple of times per year and she's looking right now for Thanksgiving and the popular/cheap fares are unavailable. She called Southwest and was told that it could be that these fares are just blocked off at this point and not necessarily sold. I am going to keep checking and I would suggest you do the same. Also, people may have just have a reservation "on hold" for 24 hours so they can check with hotels and family members............so these may open up as well.

Good luck!

So, what's the best strategy to find a lower price- do I still need to check every morning, just like booking a new reservation? Or is there a better time of day to check?

Secondly, If I DO find our flights showing available with a cheaper price before we go, how do I go about applying it? Thanks.

We got our tickets from Phoenix to MCO $99 each way! We got enough for 7 of our group and then ***POOF!**** all the $99 tickets went bye bye for return (Nov 28). Within one hour they were gone (maybe we got all the seats for that price range, I dunno), but the rest of our group can't get those prices (we have 15). It is amazing how fast those tickets got gobbled up! Now, I gotta find rental car deals and one more night at a hotel! YAY!!! Happy Dance!

They usually display new fares on Tuesday after 12:01 am (there is not set time).

If you flights go down, you can try to go to "change itenary" in the Travel section of the website. If that does not work, you can cancel and use your credits from the first reservation for the second. If it is not an internet only fare, a SWA agent can do it for you.

My friend seems to think you should check everyday if not several times per day if you can. That's what she does. I asked her the same question in regards to "if I find a cheaper flight, what do I do". Her suggestion was to call a Southwest rep and tell them what your situation is. I wasn't sure if I should cancel the tix I had then rebook using the credit. The only problem with this is, you take the chance of the cheap seats being gone by the time you cancel, and then you also take the chance that the seats you originally wanted might be gone as well. Sometimes it only takes a matter of seconds for someone to click the "purchase" button before you've selected what you want.

I think what I am going to doing is keep checking, and if I find a lower fare, I'm going to call their customer service line and tell them I want the lower fare. I've heard some people say they've done this and one customer rep says you can't do it, but if you hang up and call again, you get someone else who will do it for you. My friend has been able to get the lower fares before and just ended up with a credit (one year from the date you purchase your original tix) that you can use.

I guess I should just be happy with what I have.......the $277 r/t, but I will definitely keep checking daily. It seems like so many people were able to change their tix prices when the new fares came out last week for August.

Best of luck!

We got our flights - $69 each way! Flying from PVD on 12/2 and returning on 12/7. I love that we have more non-stops to choose from :Pinkbounc

Now if only the $49 rate was available for Halloween weekend - I'd sneak in another trip ::yes::
