I'm seeing what looks like a deal for points on a Southwest giftcard. Has anyone tried this? Looks like you get 10,000 points if you buy a $100 Southwest giftcard through the Rapid Rewards site. That seems too easy-what am I missing? Can the gift card be used to cover the taxes and fees on a flight?

On the main southwest page hover over the black Rapid Rewards section on the upper right. Click the very last option, "redeem at more rewards." One of the scrolling ads is give a sw gift card.... Important to note that I was not able to access this from my iPad, only from my desktop.

Ok I found that, it costs 10000 points to buy the $100 gift card, I think. You don't get an extra 10000 points on top of it.

Ohhhh so this is just a way to redeem your points? Hahahaha. I'm definitely new at this. Thanks. :rotfl2:

I was thinking that for buying a $100 gift card you earned points. Lol. That's funny. Thanks for setting me straight.
