So the flights I've been eyeing for our Apr.30th to May 7th trip have lowered from $149 each leg to $119. $119 is not a bad price but I know we've paid $69-$79 in the past. Anybody have any inkling of an idea if we will see lower prices before Apr/May? What if I buy now and it goes down? Will Southwest give me a credit for the difference? Also, there is a chance we may have to change dates or potentially even cancel the trip - I understand Southwest deoesn't charge change fees which is good but what about cancelling the whole trip - will tjey give me a full credit for future use?

We're going May 20-25, and I have changed my flights about 3 times for lower prices. They just hold them for future use and expire in one year. However, as of January 31, the expired credit must be used in the person's name it was reserved in (wasn't that way before). Same if you cancel your flight instead of changing it - will just go into a holding credit for one year. I started off with $149 one way, then down as far as $84 one way. Got those, and now the flights our days are up to $154 one way, so glad I paid attention. Keep watching, but be happy with the $119 - looks like that's the low end now with gas prices so high!
