Just found airfare from Philly to MCO for $64 each way on SW. I was able to get the new fare for both the return trip for this September as well as for both ways for February. These flights were listed for $103 each way yesterday.

Time to book your flights or check for credits!

Congrats on snagging a great deal!! I got $30 credits each on our Jetblue flights last night. Our trip is only 12 days away. I had given up any hope of getting a credit. I am so happy!! :cool1:

Lesson to everyone... keep checking, even right up to your trip! :)

FYI - AA is matching a lot of these rates as well. I just got non-stop flights from DFW on AA for the same $64 per flight price. After taxes it was $149 RT per person. This is only better for us because SW cannot offer non-stop flights from Dallas to MCO. :(

Yay us!!

mine went down MHT to MCO to $84 down and $94 back one way for January. I have a $40 credit now, probably won't be able to use it though. :rotfl: Wish I could buy EBCI with it.

SWA added some fare sales yesterday through today and tomorrow. MCO non-stop fares dropped to $134 for PVD, $104 for MHT, and $79 for BDL for an early December trip. Given the price for BDL was so cheap and parking there is dirt cheap, it was worth the extra 25 minute drive compared to PVD or MHT.

After a long, slow summer of fare discounts, it looks like the fall and early winter discounts are shaping up to be good as SWA just had a fare sale for the same periods two weeks ago.

I will never understand why SW is so ridiculously expensive from HOU to MCO, yet so cheap out of Dallas. The cheapest fare with them right now is $165 one way. One way!! They are always the highest airline out of Hobby, which makes zero sense to me. I would LOVE me some $64 fares!!

I booked a Southwest flight last week, for February. After reading this thread, I went back and looked again, and the fare had indeed gone down. How do I go about getting a credit? I assume it's not automatic -- do I need to call reservations and ask? And how can a credit be used and in what time frame?

I've been watching SW rates for 11/28/10 - 12/2/10 - waiting for my Chase Disney Visa to arrive. Today, the card arrived, but now the rates have gone up $40!

Is there any hope there will be a late November or early December DING??? :confused3

I think SW is just starting Dings for Oct so I'm guessing those for November will come next month.

Just checked SW out of Philly too for a mid November flight and they're out of control! Like twice as much as Airtran. Gonna hold off a bit and hope a DING comes out.

Check out USAirways for your dates. I know, I'd rather fly SWA too, but when I checked SWA's site yesterday, the fares had risen from the day before. I decided to check USAirways on a whim and booked 11/15-19 for $164 round trip. I was really surprised, but decided to jump on it. For such a short trip, we can do only carry-ons easily and avoid the :mad:luggage fee.

Enjoy both of your trips. . .it's always a good laugh to see people who have one similar travel date but two is a little odd. Looks like we are both at BLT as well for the September trip. DW and I have friends from the Philly area who we haven't had a chance to catch up with in about six months; we spoke to them on Thursday and found out that they are in WDW from the 24th to the 1st staying at CR as well.

thanks for the update ...
I am thinking about buying tickets anyways ...
Does Southwest ever have coupons or promotional codes like Airtran ???

thanks ...
