Southwest Fares Went Down

Hey, I just checked Southwest and my fares went down for January.

$5.00 a seat. I know it's not much, but it comes to a credit of $40 for another flight!

Thanks so much for posting!! I checked on a flight my hubby needs in Feb. SW was cheaper than I'd seen from BWI and AA also brought their prices down. So he's flying AA much cheaper than we planned from a closer airport. :

I received a $40 credit through Southwest. The credit is good for 1 year from when I purchased the airfare originally, which in my case was Sept.

I can, however, transfer it to someone else if I can't use it. Which is really nice!

Who did you go through to get such low rates?

Did you use a special code or anything?

Right now, we're planning on driving, but I could easily change to flying if the price were right!

That's the beauty of SWA.. You just go online to their website!! No codes just great rates!
My airfare has dropped twice already - a savings of $120 & they credited mine back to my CC!

How do you get credits? I think I bought the Fun Fare rates, do they still qualify? How do you get them to rebate the tickets?

I so want to get money back to spend on other things!!!!

I just got a card today from SW saying that if I buy two RT tickets for myself flying out of their new airport in Islip LI I will get a voucher for a free RT ticket.
This won't help me because it will cost me more to get to Islip and I won't be flying anywhere for quite a while but thought maybe someone could use the tip. Peggie
