Southwest, EBCI and Gift Cards...???

Can someone clarify something for me...

I know that I cannot use a gift card to add EBCI to an existing itinerary...but, if I add it at the time of booking (i.e. before I complete the ticket purchase), can I use a gift card to cover the entire amount?

For example, let's say my ticket costs $150. Can I use a $100, $50 and $25 gift card to cover the airfare with EBCI both ways?

Same question, different scenario....let's say I purchase a flight with points. The fee is $11.20 + $25 for EBCI. Can I apply a $50 gift card as payment?

Going to guess not. Under purchasing EBCI section it says you can only use a CC for it.
And under SW Gift Card section it says specifically that it cannot be used for EBCI.

No you can't use a gift card to pay for ebci. You can use it for the fee though. I bought $100 gift card last year to get fuel points thinking it would cover ebci. Learned that sw gift card can only be used towards flight cost or fees. Saving the unused balance for the next trip.

So if I purchase my EBCI at the time I buy my tickets, I can only use THREE gift cards because I will have to use my credit card as the fourth form of payment? I just want to make sure I buy large enough gift cards.
