I used the southwest early check in service last week with the family at the lake buena vista outlet mall and it was such as relief to get rid of our bags and not have to worry about standing in their long lines at the airport.

Did you do the Early Bird check-in? I always do the Early Bird check-in especially for my return flight. It's $10 per person each way and checks you in automatically 48 hours ahead of time (I believe it's 48 hours.. might be 36). It selects your boarding number for those familiar with SW, and since it checks you in earlier than the general public can check-in, which is 24 hours out, you usually end up with a really good boarding position without having to worry about being at a computer/printer 24 hours ahead of time. Never had a problem with it. You still need to go to the counter for your boarding pass though unless you print it yourself at some point.

Going to assume you mean the RAC service??? There are other areas that provide this service..it is pretty much run by BAGs.

I believe the original poster is referencing the "offsite airline" check-in service at the Outlet Mall. This is a non-Disney service. You can check your luggage there, get boarding passes, seat assignments, etc. They do all major airlines. It cost $12 a person. If you are staying offsite it does save you the hassle of dragging the bags to the airport. (AT A COST!!! of course)

Wow, $12 pp is a bit out of my budget. We'll tote to the airport ... Thanks! I guess though if your flight was late in the day and you had to check out early like 10 am or so it would be a great service.

Actually this was the southwest off airport check in facility located at the lake buena vista outlet mall. They check in all the major airlines at Orlando airport including international flights. The price was $10.00 for four or more checking in and $12.00 for three or less. The service is well worth the price when you are traveling with a family and have bags to check and your flight is leaving later in the day. Our flight left at 6:30pm so we checked in at 8:00am and spent the rest of the day at Universal instead of standing in line at the airport with the kids.

I can see where it would be great for that. I didn't realize a service such as that existed. I always make sure our flight departure is around noon or so. We toted luggage for 5 hrs one time before in the heat and that wasn't fun. Thanks for the great info!

This does sound like a great option.

Just wondering, can you check your luggage in on your departure day from WDW restorts but NOT use ME? We will have a rental car, our flight is 6PM. I can always think of a reason to go to the outlet mall.:rotfl2:
