We fly out of MSY on April 24th to MCO. It's just DH and I--just wondering if it's worth the extra money? I purchased the tickets back in December, but did not do the EBCI then. Is less than two weeks out too late to make a difference? Please help me decide!

Thanks!

I'm in the same boat as you. I did not purchase the EBCI for our flights, because I'm thinking (hoping) that our flight times won't be at capacity.

We fly PHL-MCO on 6/27 (Sunday) at 7:15pm
and return MCO-PHL on 7/2 (Friday) at 8:20am

I'm hoping the late Sunday and early Friday won't be too bad. It's DH, DD (15) and myself. I don't mind doing the check in via cell phone at the 24hr mark. It's very easy, I just set it all up before we head to Disney and then it's just a matter of going through the steps, we've always gotten "A" passes (prior to EBCI). I'm thinking "B" will be fine, if we can't get 3 seats together, I'll sit by myself and put DH and DD together.

Anyone think that we'll have a problem getting atleast 2 seats together (especially 4th July weekend - return flight)?

I purchased 4 tickets from Washington Dulles to Orlando with ECBI on Feburary 17th and i fly out tommorrow. Just printed out my boarding passes and got A17-20

You're flying the weekend many northeast schools are out for summer and returning on the Friday of July 4th weekend - I'd be shocked if these flights weren't at capacity. The ray of hope is that you're taking late flight out and early flight back...those might have the best shot of not being full. But given how Southwest has slimmed down its schedule (particularly nonstop flights), I'd expect a full flight.

You probably won't have a problem finding 2 seats together, even if you are in the late Bs. However, I'm always worried about what might happen if I'm stuck in a place where I can't check in...like a line that takes far longer than expected in a building where I can't get a cell signal...I think it's worth the money to not have to worry about it. Is it necessary? Probably not.
