"Published scheduled service between (Orlando - MCO) and (Fort Myers - RSW) will be discontinued on 11/03/2012"

We are headed from Port Canaveral to Ft. Myers after a Disney cruise :beach: 3/7/13 to visit the inlaws and see some Spring training games. Does anyone have a recommendation for travel between the 2 cities? DCL gets us off the ship early (for DH :faint:), so driving is a possibility but not our first option. We took a $29 Southwest flight this year - what a short, cheap trip that was! Any suggestions besides driving? How is the drive? TIA! :)

I've driven a couple of times between Naples and Orlando, as well as Orlando and the Disney cruise.

Honestly, I would rather do the drive than fly. It was only about 4 hours drive, so taking into account checking into the airport and all, it is easier to me to drive it.

Thanks happymommy, it sounds like driving is the way to go. I appreciate your help. It doesn't look like there is a good train/bus option either, from what I've seen.
Hope not too many other folks get surprised by SWA's discontiuation of that route - our flight March 2012 was full, so it was well-traveled.

We drive from ft Myers to Disney and its just under 3 hrs for us. You would need Todd for the time between port canaveral and Orlando but its still not bad. It's just I4 to 75 so it's straight and easy to do
