I didn't see this mentioned but thought it might help some! Southwest has announced fares starting as low as $30 each way (the fare depends how far you are traveling) for flights on select days in December-February! It even includes SNA airport which is usually more expensive than LAX. You must book by 10/28.

Is there a way to get one of these cheaper rates if we already have tickets??

The prices are better and on the way home there is now a non-stop flight at a better time too!!

You can't get your money back but you will get a credit to be used anytime within a year. Simply do a change flight online n it should show a credit.

That's one reason I love SW. You can change your ticket without a fee and you'll get a credit for the difference to use for your next trip. (one year)

I'm ok with that!! I have to book another flight for September eventually anyway so the money towards that is good too.

How do I do a change of flight? I'll have to look into this as soon as I get home... between the two flights this will be well over $100 towards next Sept!

How do you change your existing flights to get the better deal? I have not done that before, but have flights for Feb and would like to get a credit.

Never mind, I fiddled around with our travel for LAX in Feb, and ended up saving $75 bux (for future travel of course) and now instead of getting in at noon with a layover, we get in at 9:15 with a direct flight!

Help!! Never been to Disneyland. Which airport is better to fly into? How far in LAX from DL? What is the best way to get from airport to DL?
Trying to book flight right now. Any help is appricated. :)

I prefer to fly into LAX just because it is cheaper from my departure airport, but SNA is much closer to DL if that is more important to you. It is almost double for me, even with this deal, to fly into SNA than it is to fly into LAX. Transportation (shuttles, etc) will be cheaper from SNA to DL though. In the end, it is about convenience and money, whichever is most important to you.

Good luck!

Thanks soooooooooo much for posting this! I just got $50 back from what I paid for my tickets for my holiday trip, and didn't even have to change the actual flights!

Hmmm, this deal would cost us about the same as driving. Obviously it would knock a couple hours off each way, but really not that much. And then I'd have to try to pack all of our 3 year old's kid gear for flying. It's tempting, but I think we'll stick with driving... for now! Maybe a quick January or February trip is in order!

If you've confirmed that there is a better price on the same flight or a better flight, just look for the "change flight" option on the right side of the page and have your confirmation number handy. I've changed our flight three times already without changing the actual flight, just selected the same flight again and automatically got credit for the lower fare. I think we've saved $43 per person at this point.
