Southwest deal for Long Islanders

I called and got in an argument with the CSR.
She said I had to live on LI.
I said the postcard said to tell your friends. It didn't say they had to live on LI.
She told me I'd have to talk to RapidRewards, as they were the ones who sent out the offer.
I said they should make the offer clear and she should know the SWA offers and rules.
She said I'd have to call RR.
I said goodbye.

The deal is over now. You had to reserve by Mar 15 and use by May 15.

If you purchased a round trip ticket from Islip before March 15, you got a free ticket to anywhere Southwest flies. You would get that reward after travel was completed.

Some people were flying from LI to Baltimore and back in the same day to get the deal (LI-Balt was going for as little as $29 each way.)

To Owtrbnks:

Did you leave from McArthur (Long Island)? The email and postcard both said you had to fly (originate in) McArthur, but it did not say you had to live there.

I'm trying one more time. Anyone get (or not get) their free tickets from this deal. There was some confusion regarding who was eligible.

Thanks.

Sorry I did not respond to your post sooner. I did not call RR in time (3/15) to find out if I was or wasn't eligible. I live in Upstate NY and (as pointed out) was willing to drive to LI to fly my family RT to BWI in order to earn free tickets for a future WDW trip! :cool1: I did not learn of the offer until last minute and did not persue it after my first call to SWA.
Hopefully (fat chance) they'll have a similar promotion from ALB soon! :rotfl2:

Thanks for the reply. A friend got the postcard, but her husband did not. She booked them both on one reservation. She will be back soon and I will let everyone know if they both got tickets.

It really is an amazing deal.

 I'm flying to Maryland round trip DH and I for about $150 and will qualify for the free round trip. Hawaii maybe??!!

Great deal. According to the SW website, Hawaii requires 2 vouchers for each passenger.
