I currently have Southwest credits worth $544 and good until 9/1....my problem is my next trip is in October....if anyone can use these i would happily take half price via trading credits/gift cards or whatever as long as they're good thru 10/23...

i would also be willing to let whomever trades with me to book their flight first before transferring yours to me, just to prove i'm not trying to scam anyone (i just want to get something for these)....any takers let me know....and i hope i'm not breaking any board rules here...

:)

Thanx for replying Mikeesuee but someone already accepted the offer...i'll pm u if they back out....thanx!

just curious how you came up with the value of $544? i never knew that SW credits had a monetary value.

thanks!!

I think SW will extend credits for a modest fee. I know you've already made a deal, but just FYI for the future.

You can also book a flight and then change it later. You have a year to rebook after the flight.

If you get a flight refunded you get what you paid for it, not necessarily a 'round trip ticket' like you get with Rapid Rewards.

ah. i was thinking "credits" as in the Rapid Rewards sense of the word, not as in just a "money credited on account" kind of thing. thanks!!

It's a year from the date of the original flight. So if you cancel and re-book, it's a year from the 1st flight, not the re-booked flight.

Isn't it a year from the date of booking?

Yes, that's what I meant. Sorry. Just so people don't think that if they cancel and then use the credit on a future flight, the expiration date is still the original booking date.

If you call southwest, generally they will give you a 6 month extension for a $50.00 fee which would be totally worth it seeing you have so much in credit. Please call and ask!!!
