Southwest Credit

I canceled my flight reservations for 9/17 - 9/25 and then rebooked the same flights to get a lower fare. That left a $55.20 credit toward a future flight. Because several people here were able to get their credit put back on their credit card, I tried to do the same. The SW customer service agent I spoke with said she could do that since the dates and times didn't change at all. I was very happy for about 10 minutes. Then she called back and said she was sorry but she was wrong. She couldn't put the credit on my credit card because the fares weren't in the same class (whatever that means). boo hoo She said it will need to be used for a future fare.

After the phone call, I started to wonder just who could use the credit and I thought to myself, "If anyone knows, Gail will!" I don't really want to make another call to the SW customer service dept. if I don't have to, since they don't have a toll free number. Gail, would my sister be able to use my credit or would it have to be just my DH or myself? Thanks so much!

Yes, your sister can use the credit.. When you make her reservation, select apply credits from the payment screen, type in the confirmation number that the credit is being held under and the name of the person who's credit card it was charged to. They do make it easy!!!
