Southwest Credit Card question

So, I am sitting at 75,000 points and have 4 months to top 100K for the companion pass. I looked at adding a business credit card for 25,000 more bonus points (I got 50K bonus for the personal card) to get there today. The 25K promo pages reads this, though ... "This bonus offer is not available to either current or previous rapid reward cardmembers who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 24 months."

Is this accurate? Has anyone tries and NOT gotten the points as it reads. I don't always believe the terms and conditions to be accurate on these sorts of deals.

Your business is considered a separate entity, so you get the points, but 25K is small. You should find/wait for a 50K deal.

Or if you want to save the 50K business deal for another year towards companion, look for high point deals in their rewards store.

We got 1700 bonus points for flowers.com orders last February on orders over $40. We bought flowers for our moms and for a sister's birthday and a gift basket for a brother's birthday. They loved them, they all live far away so we would have shipped something anyway, and we topped off our account to get the companion pass. those bonus points counted towards companion status because the promo was through the credit card.

Really? Oh wow, thanks for the info. I need 25,00 for companion pass and several flights booked or about to book with wife. It makes too much sense for me to do this NOW and get free companion fares to wait it out for 50,000. First booked flight is October 4th. Hoping I can get the points and companion pass ready before that so I may cancel and re-book the wife for free.

This may be a TOTALLY stupid suggestion, but if you live near your airport, go there to get the 50,000 point offer. We just flew out of Memphis this past weekend and the stand was set up and the man was offering the SW Visa for 50,000 points. There was a code you could enter (which I stupidly did not get) if you wanted to enter it at home. But he called us over and we explained that we already had just signed up about 2 months ago w/ the 50,000 miles offer. I told him that online it was only 25,000 points now, and he said that they were doing the 50,000 points in the airport as a perk.

You likely know this, but for others ... you get a Companion Pass only if you accrue 110,000 Companion Pass Qualifying points in a calendar year. So it's not just when your balance reaches 110,000 points. It's points accrued that calendar year, and not all points, but just qualifying points.
