I have flown numerous times, but always checked in luggage. My husband will be flying in on a different day to meet us and will have no checked luggage, just a carry-on - if that. I have no idea how to do this! We usually check our luggage at PIT at the outdoor desk and away we go. Does he take his information and stand in line at the Southwest counter before going through security? I feel like a real ding dong. TIA

If he checks in online and prints his boarding pass, he can arrive at the airport and head straight to security. If he needs to print the boarding pass, he can go to a kiosk inside the airport and do that. No need to wait in the curbside check-in line.

If he prints his boarding pass at home, he can go straight to security. If he doesn't, he has to go to the SW counter to get a boarding pass, he can use the kiosk there.

Not sure about MCO, but at some airports, SWA has freestanding kiosks to check in and/or print boarding passes for those who aren't checking luggage. They eliminate the queues. :)
