Southwest - changing the air reservation

Anyone able to successfuly use the "Change Air Reservation" in the Travel Tools section of the Southwest site?

It is supposed to let you easily and painlessly change your reservation on your own. It does not say there is a fee for the change.

I want to use it to switch to an earlier flight (same price, same date) but am really nervous about it.

Experiences?

if same price then no fee.. when we change days we only had to pay the difference in the ticket price.. Just call southwest costumer service and they will change it for you and email you the new itinerary

SW doesn't charge for any changes. Obviously if you upgrade a ticket you'll just pay that NEW price. If you get a Ding to reduce the fare, OR just happen to see the exact fare go down you can switch the ticket for that money to be placed into an account as credit for future travel within 1 year of Purchase date, not your travel date. All with no fee!

I just changed mine using that exact thing in travel tools twice within 15 min. I had a 6:25am flight home from MCO and a 11:05 opened I booked that.. then DH says.. look there is one at 6:45pm.. we might as well stay as late as we can.. so we changed it again to 6:45 flight.. all in 15 min time. Ugh.... It was easy though and no fees.
