Sorry for this question, but we don't travel by air very much.

I was hoping to bring with me as carry-on luggage, one small carry-on suitcase for the overhead bin (if available), and then a duffel bag to put under the seat in front of me.

Is this permitted, or am I limited to one carry-on piece of luggage?

Thanks in advance.

You are allowed two pieces of 'luggage'...one carryon bag and one personal item. The personal item has to completely fit beneath the seat at your feet. It can't stick out at all. The piece of 'carryon luggage' that goes in the overhead must fit the dimensions given by that particular airline. This is copied from SW's official site.....

Quick Information
Carryon items are limited to one bag plus one smaller, personal-type item. Southwest Airlines limits carryon bag dimensions to 10x16x24 inches. All Customers and Employees and their items are subject to a thorough physical search. Full details.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the information. My duffle bag is pretty small so it should fit under the seat. It's just to hold medicine and electronic device chargers.

We leave on Friday, and I'm trying to nail down some last minute questions. So thanks again.
