We had purchased 3 tickets last week for some family members to fly to Orlando with us in October. We paid $130 for the flight down but were able to get $49 for the flight home. Today I see that 2 seats are available for the flight down for $49. Is there a way to change just the departure flight for only 2 of the 3 tickets? The return flight is not still available for $49. I called and spoke to someone who said I would have to wait and see if more of the return seats open up at $49 and change both legs of the reservation. I would think you should still be able to get the difference if only one of your flights change.

Yes, I believe so. I haven't done this in a while, but I think if you make your changes through the Travel Center , "Change Air Reservation" option.... you are given the option to change only leg of your trip.

Under the Change Air Reservations area it says that any changes will apply to all passengers but I am only able to get the lower fare to show up for 2 of the 3. I don't actually want to change the flight, just get the lower price.

Bowen9475,
Oh, I see what you mean. Can you get them to split the reservation into 3 separate ressies over the phone and then make your changes through change air reservations on-line?
They used to split the ressies into individual ressies when they first came out with the on-line check-in and only permitted 1 confirmation per passenger. I have not done this since they now permit all the passengers to check in under one confirmation, but it might be worth a try...

Thanks dcfromva! I called again and got someone different who did separate the reservations and I was able to change just one leg of the reservation and got $168 in travel funds.
