Southwest Booking

I just found an e-mail from SW announcing the booking period from Nov 2nd to Jan 4th is on Mon June 4 th. I'll be up early to book our return flight for our Nov triP.

I have been waiting for this! I have emailed SW a few times and the last date they gave me was June 14th.... the 4th sounds so much better.

I'd also like to know if anybody knows what time they release the bookings.

I'll be up late on June 4th to make my ADRs since it opens at 8a EST which is 2a my time, so if they release the SW fares at midnight EST (or PST) that would be an easy way for me to book at 9p my time on the 3rd ...

I've been searching the internet high and low but I'm not finding anything concrete. The time I've seen the most is 10 pm CST. Since I live on the West coast I'll probably just check every hour on the hour from 7 pm and on until I get in.

The last two times we purchased tickets on the day they were released, it was between 3 - 4 AM that the flights became available.

There's no set time, it's whenever SW decides to release them.

The date has been available for some time. No news there.

The time that the fares will be released is the big question. For quite a while it was about 10 a.m. CT. Then it went much earlier; around 5 a.m. or 5:30 a.m. CT. But the last few times it has been closer to 10 a.m. CT, although not exactly.

My advice is to start checking as soon as you get up (and if you can get up at 5:30 a.m. CT, so much the better) and to keep checking as the morning goes on. As it gets close to 10 a.m. CT, check more often.

So will the lowest prices be available when they open the booking or something to watch over the next days? Airtran prices are just a little lower, though they do charge bag fees so i suppose that negates the savings somewhat.

Just booked Southwest for our nov trip. Awesome prices great flight times. I was on their site just messing around and boom it opened yay Southwest.
