I booked a fare over the phone with SWA today (first trip with this airline)as I have a 24 hr window to cancel with telephone ressies and I need to confirm with hubby later tonight. I usually book airlines on the internet, and was wondering if there are any reasons to prefer internet booking when dealing with SWA, price is not an issue on this flight as internet was no cheaper than over the phone. Also want to make sure with phone reservation that I have full control to change reservation/switch to Ding fare and what not. Please enlighten me as I am a Southwest rookie!

If your original reservation is made over the phone, then you'll have to call to make any future changes. In order to book a future Ding fare, you would have to call to cancel, and then book the Ding fare yourself online. I much prefer to book online so that I have complete control to change the flights myself. So, I would highly recommend booking online instead of over the phone.
