For those of you waiting, it's open.

Hope you had better luck than me. Wanted 12/27 - 01/03 from ISP to MCO or even TPA. Cheapest flights were $618 round trip.

Not impressed. Looking for PHL to MCO. I can do a lot better with United out of EWR. Oh well, at least I will have a reserved seat assignment (if they don't rearrange it).

WOW! Way too expensive for us. Was hoping to book & be done with it. Now I have to keep searching every day for our flights.

I was looking at some dates over the Christmas holidays, but I can't stomach those prices either. :scared: I'm out.

I lucked out. Booked with points and got good nonstop flights for low points.

$872 non-stop return, for 4 adults, out of Buffalo for the beginning of December. I'm happy. :cool1: Good luck everyone.

:banana:Three of us, Buffalo to MCO, nonstop for $218 each round -trip. Add in ECBI, and still the cheapest I have booked in years. Paid for with points (thank-you new roof last fall!). LOVE Southwest !

Just awful - $622 MDW-MCO x 4 tix = we may be driving. :(

I don't mind the driving so much, but the thought of doing it for 19 hours in December when the roads can get very dicey... that scares me. Really hoping to find a much more reasonable price. I'd settle for $400 at this point.

PVD - MCO 11/15-11/21

I was buying 6 tix on points. The system would buy 2, then I'd have to go back in, try to buy the rest. It bought one of the four. Last try it bought the final three. Frustrating but done.
Cash was $127 down (first flight) and $109 back (last flight)

I paid 423.00 12/20-1/1. Great times and nonstops. Everything else I have been seeing on other airlines was over $600.00 and had 1-3 stops. I jumped on it. Of course, I had enough points for two tickets, so that took some of the sting out of it.

Just got $338 RT out of STL for 12/20-26. I am very pleased with this price. Would have preferred an earlier flight on Saturday (we get in at 7:55p), but for ~$130 difference for the 4 of us when we don't do anything the first day anyway I'll take it.

We got three round trip nonstop tickets Nov1-6 for $264 each Milwaukee to Orlando. That's the cheapest I've ever seen it and usually the Southwest nonstops from Milwaukee to Orlando are rare. I booked and am super happy that I don't have to drive to Chicago this time! Good luck everyone!

Was looking to book my son and his wife from ft Myers to Long Island 12/21-12/28.....12/21 flight was ok ...but SW isn't offering any want to get away fares from ISP to RSW from 12/19 to 1/1 right now...so I'll wait to book their return flight

It's there any negatives to booking one way now and waiting for better prices to book the way home?

I have always booked round trip but the price to come home is crazy today. The flights down are really good though.

That's a great holiday price!! Have to say that I'm really frustrated with seeing much lower fares out of other Midwest locations. Chicago is $150-300 more per ticket - just crazy.... :(

No negatives for me....I always book one way...if the prices are good I'd book it

I am not happy. $111 one way ATL to MCO. I guess the days of Airtrans $49 one way flights are long gone. It scares me to book through SW's website. I have seen how people line up to get on the plane and it looks like you are being cattled to the plane. I am not impressed at all.

OK - so I went in to play around with dates and times, and found a fare I can live with!!!! :cool1: Instead of flying Sunday to Sunday (12/21 - 12/28), I moved the trip back one day, so Saturday to Saturday (12/20 - 12/27). I had to book the first flight out at 6:00am, and the last flight back at 9:15pm (arriving MDW at 11:05pm!), but it brought the price down from $622 RT to $390 RT! And no worries about icy roads, except for the 2 hour drive from home to MDW - I'll take that over the 19 hour drive to Orlando. ;)

I'll repeat what others have said about fares changing or disappearing mid-transaction. I'd first tried for the second to last flight out, depart at around 7:20pm. By the time I ran upstairs to make sure it was ok with DH to book, the fare was gone. So I whipped through it the second time and grabbed that last flight out. The kids will be very tired when we get to Chicago, but we'll have another full day at WDW - not too bad. :goodvibes

I'm happy:thumbsup2 set the alarm for 6 a.m. to grab my R/T for November on points:cool1: I got a.m. departure and p.m. return,nonstops...
