Southwest birthday sale questions

I have not experienced this sale before but I hear it will happen in June. True? We will be looking for flights from the west coast to Puerto Rico. Will flights to PR be included in the sale? If not I'm sure we could just try to fine a sale rate for west coast to Florida and use a different line for the rest. Any info and experience with this sale would be much appreciated!

Yes they have an annual Birthday sale in June. It only covers flight from mid-Aug to mid- Dec. The sale prices are based upon the number of flight miles it takes to get to your destination.

For example
If I fly from Cleveland to Nashville it is less than 500 airlines to get there so my flight price might be $79 for flights 0-500 miles. Then the next tier is 501-1000 miles for $109.

Do a google search for SWA birthday sale and you will find info on last years sale.
