DH and I have flown Southwest 2 years ago on a trip to Tampa so I understand how the boarding process works. 8 weeks from Today (YEAH!!) we leave for our Disney trip with our 6 year old daughter. Obviously she's over the age for us to board during the family boarding, however we did purchase the early board check in. Has anyone had experience with boarding and getting 3 seats together? My biggest fear is that we are going to be separated and I really don't want that because this is her first flight so of course I want the three of us to be able to sit together.

Any advice or other peoples experiences is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I wouldn't worry if you purchased the early checkin. You will be checked in at 36 hours while those that don't purchase early check in have to check in at 24 hours. You should get A boarding or early B boarding and that won't be a problem at all. We have had groups of 6 with a few in the lower B numbers and have never had a problem sitting together. Don't stress - you will be fine.

And the seats are in rows of 3. Middle seats are the last to be filled... so with EBCI you should be able to get your own row of 3 seats just fine! :)

CAN'T WAIT for our December trip!:thumbsup2

Received an e mail early this morning that our return flight time was a half hour earlier leaving Orlando..Fine with us, now leaving at 7:10PM instead of 7:40PM...LOVE having an evening departure because I feel like we get to ENJOY our last day entirely! No kids on this trip, just DS and me! EASY!:cheer2:

I had another question so I phoned SW and the agent said that MANY MANY FLIGHTS WERE CHANGED RECENTLY! SO MANY flights have been modified she said!

Still in the process of notifying customers, so I would not be SURPRISED if flight time changed a bit! CHECK YOUR E MAIL or if not, check the flight time to see if original changed!

Just a guess about the multitude of time changes on SW flights, which is rare for them.......

They've been criticized a lot lately for their poor on time performance ratings. The numbers have not been good for many months. Revamping the schedule to something more "realistic" has been anticipated for a while. This may well be the adjustment many have been waiting for.

I was on a business trip last week. Flying solo, so didn't purchase EBCI. I forgot to check in right at 24 hours and got boarding position B30. Even being that late in the Bs, there were full rows that were open, albeit at the back of the plane. With EBCI, we consistently get spots right around A30 and are usually seated in the first 10 rows of the plane.

Our flight going down has already changed from 6:55am to 5:50am which i'm glad because I don't mind getting down there 1 hour earlier. I wouldn't mind if my return flight got changed though. Latest flight I could get coming home was 4:30pm departure when I would have liked something around 7 or 8. oh well.
