Could someone tell me what channel it's on? I'm probably going to have to tape it..

Thanks!

It's called "Airline" and it's on A&E. My DS13 and I fly Sowest all the time and are really enjoying this show (but now I know I will never work for an airline...some of these passengers are unbelieveable).

Thanks! I forgot to start watching it when it premiered and I could just KICK myself!!

I'm a SW flyer too!! :)

I caught that show last night and they announced that it is on every Monday at 10 pm.
I plan on watching it again. Hope it is a new episode.
I can't believe some of the stuff the airlines have to put up with. No wonder they are so nice to me whenever I fly, I don't give them any grief.
Is this only SW on the show? Peggie

It also comes on at 3pm on Sundays (same show as Monday). Thanks for the reminder...I just got home from the hospital after having an emergency hysterectomy Saturday night and can't wait to be a couch potato for the next few weeks and this is one show on my 'must see' list. I have 3 flights booked for the next 6 weeks and am deciding if I am going to have to cancel them or not. I may not be able to work but I can still play (a little LOL).

Gotta love Tivo. I will watch last nights episodes when I get home.

And yes, only Southwest is featured because they were the only airline willing to go along with the reality show. They have absolutely no say over what goes on the air.

The shows producers wanted an international carrier (more drama I guess), but no one would go for it. Hence SW.

However, now that the show is a "hit" other airlines are clamoring to get in on the action.

That was the first time I have ever watched it. I liked it. Some people can certainly be tough to deal with, huh? I felt so bad for that older couple though. The worker handled it so well. Gotta give him a lot of credit.

I LOVE this show. My favorite storyline was last week, when the woman showed up with her kids 20 minutes before the plane was scheduled to leave, and then could NOT believe that they didn't hold the plane for her, and then got annoyed because all other flights were full. I felt so bad for her kids, but she was such a nut, and so funny to watch.

I only saw the end of the show last night. What was the deal with that couple that couldn't get on the flight and were going to miss out on some birthday plans, or something? The woman said they would sue S.W. if they didn't get them on another carrier. Did the couple show up late for the flight or what?

They showed up for the flight and it was overbooked (as most flights are). No one volunteered to give up their seats so they couldn't get on. They are consumer fraud litigation attorneys so that's why they were going to sue. It seemed they were pleased with the outcome of the situation. Another reason to check in early for a flight as the first ones there are the first to get on.

In October we were on a SoWest flight from Phx to San Jose, with a stop at LAX. Because of the fires in SoCal, all of the airports were closed in LA. Because we had checked in early for our flight, we were the first standby passengers for a direct flight to San Jose. After about an hour, SoWest made the decision to just take the 36 of us that were to go to San Jose on the original flight, skipping Los Angeles. I felt bad for the LA people..I think I would've rented a car and drove for 6 hours instead of staying all day in the airport.

I couldn't believe the guy with the small tear in his suitcase. My son wonders how people will sign a release to be on the show, when they are behaving so badly . He thinks they don't realize how bad they look until the show airs. And I really have to wonder about the drunk people who try to get on...what are they thinking (especially the guy at 7:30am)?

I know! That show gives me a whole new appreciation for airline workers I couldn't do it.

Well I FINALLY got to watch it!! Even though I should have gone to bed (had to work today) I just couldn't resist.. LOL

Let me tell you - that guy - and what he did for the poor lady and the man with the Altzheimers was UNBELIEVEABLE !!!! Talk about going "above and beyond"..

I wanted to smack the lady and guy carrying on about their "expensive" bag - and they "don't wear cheap clothes" - and then the bag turns up and they didn't even apologize!!!

And the guy with the teeny tiny tear in his bag? Hate to say it, but what's to say it wasn't there before? I've carried a purse around with a bigger tear than that!!

NO WAY would I want the jobs of any of those people..

And coincidentally, I actually talked to a SouthWest rep last night -trying to get some additional info on a flight my DD and I are taking to Nashville in May - and she was the SWEETEST little thing I have ever talked to! After we finished our business she chit-chatted for awhile and she asked me if I had ever flown SW before.. I told her I did - when we flew down to Orlando just 2 days before 9/11 - and how impressed I was with the flight - and even more impressed with how they refunded our return tickets with no questions asked.. She then went on to tell me that she had a customer say to her last week - "Do you know why I'm not afraid to fly SouthWest? Because a terrorist would NEVER hijack a SW flight because there is no assigned seating.. In order for a hijacking to come off sucessfully, everything is planned down to the smallest detail and assigned seating is imperative!!"

I never thought of it that way, but I think they're right! 'Course I told her I'm not fussy anyhow.. I'll take a folding chair on the wing just so long as I can get where I want to go.. LOL :teeth:

So the next time you're thinking you don't want to fly SW because your seat isn't guaranteed, at least you can be pretty sure the plane won't get hijacked!!! ::yes::

Great people to deal with at SW - I just wish they flew to more places!!!
