ok so i saw today that southwest airlines has listed thier spring prices....we want to go in september...does anyone know if that is usually a month they offer the 79$ one way flights?they only show up until august..and from what i saw up until may they offer 79$ but then it increases for june, july ,and august but i figure thats because its summer and no school...we want to go late sept...what do you think my chances are that they will offer 79$ again by then?

We usually go in September and fly with SWA at less than $100 per person. I am confident that the prices will be about the same (if not less) when the September fares come out!

Our airfare to Disney in Sept is always around $160-$170/person from Boston to Orlando in September. It's a cheaper time to go because crowds are low due to school being back in session...and it's hurricane season.

It will rain hard and get some wind, but other than that, its ok. Disney is VERY accomodating when the hurricaine winds and rain hit 2 years ago.

In my experience you want to get your tickets right around the 3 month out mark. That is when I can get the best deals in Indy.

We will also be flying SWA this September and I was informed by a SWA representative that flight schedules and booking availability for September will be be out on April 17th. Just F.Y.I. :thumbsup2 So . . . be checking around that date so you can see exactly what your flight will be. Based on the prices in August, our family of 4 should be able to fly from New Orleans to Orlando for under $650!!! Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be sure to sign up for "Ding!" My friend told me she flew her family to Disney last Octobr for $39/person each way. Said she only got this rate on Ding! DH and I will be driving. G-ma will be flying SWA (gets ticket w/ swa visa points). If prices get this low again, kid's will fly with G-ma and I'll pick them up at the airport. We live in Tn so can be flexible w/ the fly/drive issue.

We always fly SWA. I typically will purchase my flights when the come available for around $100 one way. Then I watch the ding fares (this is MUST for you to sign up for). When the ding fare hits I just switch over to them. (One time I got them for $49 one way). Anyway - you don't get the difference in the money - but they do give you a credit for your next flight.

Be sure to sign up for "Ding!"

I had installed Ding! but it never worked on my computer :confused3

I'm not the only one, as there are TONS of discussions on the internet about the problems with the program. I wanted to let OP know, in case you have problems after downloading it. But apparently this is def the way to go, so try it for the chance of a great deal!

We always fly SWA and have never paid more than $69 plus tax and surcharges to fly one way with them. We have gotten as low as $49 each way. Best bet is to keep an eye on the promos and adjust your vacation to fit the promo if possible....thats what we do! We ended adding 2 days on our vacation for August and did a split stay at Pop and then headed over to ASMo for our free dining package on the day it started.
