I found the fares first thing this morning and was able to book my fare for my girls-only weekend in May!

The cheap fares were not on Ding this morning. I'm glad someone posted the fares here because I rarely visit the transportation board.

I was able to get New Orleans to Orlando round trip for 5 of us in June for a total of $485 after taxes....$97 round trip after taxes.

I didn't think they would come out with $39 fares with the price of fuel as high as it is and climbing. This was a no brainer for us. We were planning on:

Driving my grandmother's new gas-guzzling Chevy Tahoe ($200 in gas round trip)
Stopping in Tallahassee going and coming back (approx $100 in hotel rooms)
Food for our 12 hour trip each way (at least $100 for the 5 of us)
Total to drive = $400

...and I get saved from having to drive 12 hours each way and listen to my 5 year old say "Are we there yet?" a zillion times....

I am so excited too. DD10 and I were going to drive to WDW by ourselves in June. I really wasn't looking forward to the 16 hour drive but airfare was sitting at $325.00 each. This morning my son fell back to sleep and I had to wait for him to get dressed so we could get to school and work. While I was waiting I checked DING Nothing!. So I went to AA and still to high Finally, I went to SW and put in my dates Wow $59.00 each way. Considering the time and the price of gas today I jumped on it However I couldn't get the dates I wanted for the times I wanted now I HAVE to stay an extra day

Now I'm in a dilemma...fly or drive??

We'll spend about $240 in gas r/t driving from NH to Fla. Plus tolls, plus food. Plus hotel room on the way back, so we're looking at about $375. And a 24 hour drive.

Four r/t tickets from Manchester, NH to MCO will be $460, including tax. Plus a rental, ($155). So, that makes it about $615, but no drive. Although trying to get DH on a plane will require some heavy duty tranquilizers
