Southwest ? about changing flight dates

Does anyone know how Southwest works if you want to change your flight dates? Is there a charge to do this or do you only pay the difference in prices for the new tickets? My husband gets out of school one week earlier than he thought due to finals schedule, and I have considered trying to move the whole vacation up a week earlier.

Southwest does not charge for flight/date changes, only the difference in the price of the ticket. So if the change costs more you are charged the difference, if the change costs less you will be credited the difference for a non-refundable flight.
