I got the e-mail from AirTran with the same sale information and was just about to post. You beat me to the punch!!

Was able to score tix from MCO to LAS then back to BWI for less than $270 RT. GREAT DEAL for the dates I need.

Happy day!!

Glad you got a deal! I have been waiting to buy my flight down. I did not get the time I wanted, but I was happy with the price :thumbsup2. I debated on waiting it out in hopes of a Birthday Sale, but decided not to risk it.

I will keep checking, hopefully the earlier flight will come down and I can grab it.

I guess I'm still waiting....If this was the birthday sale they would identify it as such, right?

One leg of my BUF-LAS trip in Sept went down a bit...But if I rebook the flight home is way higher so I don't think that will work out.

I need a flight to MCO on 8/19 which is a week before the sale dates begin.

I might need to suck it up and pay a bunch more for my flight.

There is nothing good for our dates out of Louisville (SDF) for MCO or TPA. I'm surprised but most of the flights are still the same price. Using the Low Price Finder, I'm not finding much for around our dates in October (anywhere from the 18th-28th). If we want to fly in on Monday and fly out on Monday, I could get $99 OW but then we sacrifice 3 days of vacation on the front end. Ugh.

I was wondering the same thing about the birthday sale. I thought the birthday sale was later in June and can anyone confirm if they had one in 2012? From what I found online it seems their best anniversary sale was in 2011 and for 2012 they only offered 30% off limited dates/routes. I think I might go ahead and book our flight our of HOU and wait on our return flights since they fall on Sunday and there is an exclusion for Sunday travel.

I have my flight back on Air Tran since the times were better. I fly out of Pittsburgh and since the merger, there is no competition for low fares. I paid $99 which I think is great, just wish I could have gotten the early am flight.

I was just too nervous to wait. I would kick myself if I didn't pull the trigger and if there is a birthday sale it had black out dates or Pittsburgh was not included.

I'm currently waiting for some travel funds to expire in July before I can book for December and I'm so frustrated because we NEVER have sales valid from our airport, but of course this time they're $99 each way. Ugh, I hope they have another good sale like this before it's fall. :sad2:

I was able to book our one way tickets from MCO back to our home airport for $99 with Airtran.. Last week this same flight was $130.

 I Booked our flights with Airtran (with our seats chosen :) ) back on May 7 for our family of 4 for our Disney Wonder Cruise out of Galveston. I thought in May that I had pretty good rates under $200 each, but one leg of the flight dropped $30 this morning, so I called and now I have a $120 credit! Means our flights wound up costing $620 round trip! And..I'll be using that credit for our luggage...:banana:

I just rebooked with SW to come home one day later, the savings from that cover another night at the YC, woohoo! :cool1:

Did you book thru south west or air tran?

I'm flying out of Pittsburgh too, what area do you live and when are you flying? What flight did you get. They have a 6 am direct flight that usually flys each day

DH and I just had a mess of points put back into our accounts! :cool1: Just wish we could move our November trip up a day to take advantage of that $99 fare.

I am so happy for this sale. Yesterday I didn't have enough rapid rewards points to cover the trip, but today I was able to book it all using my points. :cheer2::cool1:

Got the AirTran & SW emails today. Actually AirTran was a bit better for us because SW doesn't have many nonstops. $583.00 for all 3 of us round trip Total. I hadn't even planned on going, but with this deal, I'm tempted to book something...anything...help me! I can't control myself! ;)

I fly out Saturday September 7 at 3:00 pm via Southwest and depart 3:55 on the 14th. I would love to grab the 7:25 am flight, but it is at $162. I paid $99 for the later flight.

This is the first time we are traveling on the weekend. We usually travel during the week for cheaper fares, but tried to minimize they loss of school days.

I am about 30 miles south Pittsburgh. :)

man I wish I could see those sales... it looks higher for my dates than before.... :( certainly no bargains.....it's either the same,or more right now

I am so peeved right now:furious:

DH and I are going on the DVC Member Cruise in September and the SW fares were $380 r/t so I booked through Delta for $223 with 1 stop each way (booked on Sunday).

Now, the flights are $180 r/t on SW non-stop. I can only hope Delta makes a big change in flights before the sale is over and I can cancel Delta and rebook on SWA!:rotfl2:

I am sure it won't happen, but a girl can hope.:rolleyes1
