Southwest $49 each way flight special

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to pass along some very valuable travel information. Southwest is offering a special right now, $49 each way! You have to book by July 26th and travel between 8/16/07 and 1/11/08 to qualify. It says only if you fly on Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday. But we are flying on a Sunday and Thursday and we still got the $49 price. For 3 of us it is going to cost $356. Not bad at all!

Thanks for the heads up. I looked at our travel dates and no $49 flights for me. I could get discounted ones, but they don't have any non stops flights and the discound isn't worth having to stop for me.

WOW Just checked and it would totally work for me. Round trip for $118! CHEAPER THAN DRIVING!!!!! I will most likely book this.

It isn't really for 1 way travel only, they mean $49 each way. Just put in your round trip info and it will let you know if the $49 is available for you

It's just the way southwest advertises their fares. Sometimes you wont' get the special on your return if it';s booked up. I checked the Sunday return and it wasn't avaliable. Saturday is open for me. You can go one way if you want but you will probably get pulled aside for a bag search because anyone going one way is obviously up to no good!

Thanks for the heads up! I've been waiting and hoping airfares would drop. Rates had to be below $175 before dh would agree to go. Round-trip for us is $136. Looks like we'll be going to DL in October
