Southwest 40/80/120 sale

My flight cost went from $360 round trip down to $178! With a credit of $182.50! Houston to MCO $80 each way. I'm super excited!

Now traveling early nonstop 9/9-9/20, nonstops PIT to MCO....R/T..$80 each! Half the price!!!!!! Site was super slow....managed to change all 5 of us! We wanted a Friday am flight nonstop originally but much higher, so we booked it now even less !!!!:teacher:

Folks with a Jetblue terminal near them should check to see if they have competitive offers. I see a ton of $80 BOS - MCO fares for many of the dates SW is offering the sale on.

Site was crazy jammed, but booked ABQ to MCO at $120 each way for me and my son. Last minute trip FTW.

Thank you! I thought I was the only one! We're just waiting for exact dates before reserving our trip in October. A couple of weeks ago, I priced Southwest from Pittsburgh to MCO for 3 adults, and it was $1100. Today when I heard about the sale, I priced the same flights for the same dates and it was now $1700!!! What is going on?

Maybe we should just drive....even with gas prices the way they are, it HAS to be cheaper than $1700!

YEE HAW!!! I tried again a couple of hours later, and that $1700 fare for 3 of us dropped to $544 for 3!!!! I snapped that up!

My nonstop from ISP to MCO went down to $80! Now we each have $99 in travel funds. I wish the sale went just one day longer; we're coming home 11/17!

The sale does go through the 17th. I booked during that timeframe from McArthur to Mccoy.

I got a awesome deal on flights back in Febuary. For 4 of us it was 665.00 round trip. The only thing is we had to do a connection on the way down putting us in Orlando at 330 pm. For a addtional 9.20 for all 4 of us we now have non-stops that arrive at 1050 am!:thumbsup2

Thanks for posting!

I was able to rebook my flights from Columbus Ohio (CMH) to Los Angeles (lax) from $134 each way to $120. I was also able to get a better return flight with no layover that had been more expensive. I just wish I could use the flight funds to add early bird check in.

:cool1:I just got the 80 fare on our trip down to Disney on 9/28 unfortunately no 80 fares for our return on Sunday 10/2

Yeah, if you looked at the fine print the sale didn't apply to flights Fri / Sun which sucks b/c I'm wanting the non stop flight back on sunday. :(

Guess we will need to flight on a Mon, Tues or Wed next time since those are usually the lowest fare days.

You would have to come back on Saturday or Monday. We are just coming home on Monday!

Yea I know unfortunately we can't come back on Monday my daughter is attending college and she has classes on Monday and can't miss them.....this is a quick trip for her 21st birthday.....fitting it into her school schedule...I'm fine with the price I paid for the Sunday flights.....booked them the day they came out at 129 pp.....but always looking to save some more:thumbsup2

I just booked Spokane WA to Orlando in September for $1696 round trip total for 6 people! The same itinerary was $2996 2 night ago, so I am thrilled

Booked Chicago Midway (MDW) to MCO for $80 each way 9/3-9/10!!

Saved a bunch!!!! Means more $$$ for a Disney Dooney & Bourke!!:cool1:

Unfortunately, Orlando is not a participating city in this sale. At least, its not listed when you click on the sale banner on the home page. Scroll the list of cities and it goes from Orange County (CA) to Panama City Beach with NO Orlando in there.

All other Florida markets appear to be participating: Ft Lauderdale, Panama City, Jacksonville & Tampa Bay.

Just checked SDF to TPA...there are a few $80 flights listed but they are not the best times and you have to change planes. Of course, the non stop Saturday & Sunday flights definitely are not included in this sale.

I got $80 airfare for October from Milwaukee to Orlando and back. So, Orlando is a participating city.

This is NO SALE !!!!:confused3 We bought tickets a while back to go from Chicago to Orlando 10/22 thru 10/29, and it cost us $295 / person. I thought that it was high then. I hoped to get a credit with SW by finding a cheaper price. :sad2: The sale price is right now is $510 / person. :sad2:

Have you ever tried flying out of Milwaukee airport? It's awesome! And, not that much further than Midway. We're in Cary, il and fly out of Milwaukee all the time! We got our $80 fares for October from Mke-Mco and back.

I'm thinking this is as good as it is going to get right now... For a flight in September... some time in July, I'd expect the prices to start going up as it gets closer to the date of flight. I was happy to get the $80 flight to Orlando from Baltimore... but my Sunday return flight is still $163.... I might book it... but I'm tempted to come back Saturday instead for half that airfare. DW would like Sunday to unwind at home anyway...
