Southern Smothered Hot Dog?

I heard they have something at the Meadows Snackbar called a "Southern Smothered Hot Dog". What is it, and who has tried it?

We had several of them they were good. I did cut the coleslaw.

Sounds bizarre but was actually pretty darned good and became one of DH's faves. It's also a pretty hefty meal with all that "stuff" on top.

If you get the Southern Smothered Hot Dog make sure to get a fork. Disney new heathier rolls suck they fall apart after the first bite. All of the rolls at Disney are the same now (BAD)

Wow! A dog with pulled pork and coleslaw! My kinda meal. But what's the deal with a healthy roll? Do they expect me to drink a diet soda with that? Anyway, as I eat my way through WDW I'm looking forward to Southern Smothered Hot Dog! Thanks for the info.

Are these new? We've been to the Fort so many times and had no idea they had these. My hubby is drooling in anticipation.

After the pool refurb they started selling them at the pool snackbar. Man I could eat one right now with a beer.

we had one and it was really good. it is large, though. dh and i split one for lunch. we weren't sure about the slaw being on it. but, it was awesome. jeff is probably right about the buns falling apart. i wouldn't know because we cut ours in half.

get it and try it the way it comes. if you don't care for the slaw on it just scrape it off and have it on the side. but it was good the way it came.

Yet another thing I can't wait for in November. I tried one in April just after they reopened the pool and it was awesome. Very big though.

I made up my mind... I will try the Southern Smothered (with a diet coke) and the "Kitchen Sink" from Beaches and Cream!. Maybe we should book two pads for our week there - room to expand!

Where are these at? We're coming in November and will be our first trip to the fort(well I went about 20 years ago and don't remember much) and trying to get some ideas of things to try!!
