It's good, but it is not Southern barbecue.DH likes the ribs and I like the rotisserie chicken. DD liked the fruit plate. We didn't try the pulled pork since we can get that at home (and I can make my own), but we might try it next time. Everything we have tried has been tasty.

I am from Texas and we had the ribs during our past October trip. On a scale of 1-10 we gave them a 5. Just did not like them.
Well, I don't know what's not southern about the Flame Tree ribs & sauceI'm from south LA and it's the kind of sauce every southern cook I know uses - tomato - brown sugar based. It's very good! By the way, where do you live and what kind of BBQ sauce do you consider southern? Here in NC it's a thin vinegar base, nothing like what we consider southern - just eastern. Oh, just saw you were from Wilmington.
It isn't exactly like any specific kind of bbq (Memphis, KC, North Carolina, Texas) but it's dang good.
lol. I sort of figured my q might start a little static. Of course there is fantastic bbq all over the country. I lived North, way North and now way South. We just have a lot more bbq joints per capita and therefore I didn't want to be sitting there at the table saying 'well that was ok, but why did we use our credits on bbq??'. I don't have a sauce/rib style preference. I like all walks of yummy bbq. As long as it's tender and flavorful, I'm in. Just didn't want to be the family that came from Naples, ate a Pizzafari and then whined that it wasn't good. Hope this clarifies my original question. Again, thanks for the feedback on it being good/fruit plate. Keeping it on my list.![]()
