Southern Dunes Vacation Home Rental

Hi, a friend is staying in a vacation rental located in Southern Dunes Thanksgiving week. I know this development is located off of Hwy 27. How long in realistic miles and mins does it normally take to get to WDW from here?

Also any feedback on the development itself?

We stayed there once and had a great view of the golf course. Sunsets from the pool were wonderful.

It did take about 20 minutes to get to Disney from there, but not bad traffic on I4 and able to bypass 192 completely. Unless you really want to be on a golf course, or can get a great rate, I would suggest getting something closer to Disney.

Southern Dunes is a very nice place and is on one of the top rated golf courses in the area. The journey to Disney can be 20 mins plus depending on traffic on I4 or alternatively by driving up 27 to US 192 and across.

If you are a golfer then you'll love this place but if being close to the parks is critical to your plans then you may want to be closer as LauraLea suggests.
