Hello fellow DISers!

I am a WDW veteran and am very excited for my first trip to the original park this summer! I had a question about the socal ticket discount.

I will be interning with a company in Temecula from May until August. I am from Chicago but will be living in socal for those 3 months. My address during that time will qualify me for the discount, but I will not have ID showing that I am a permanent resident of CA as I am only living there for 3 months.

If I were to purchase it online and use my California address, would I run into any problems at the turnstiles?

Thanks for all the help!

Will you have a CA billing adress on the card you with?
Will you have proof or ID to show you are a resident when you get your AP/ tickets?

Do you know that SoCal APs are not available for most of Summer?
Do you know the current SoCal ticket offer expire in early June?

My credit card will still have my Chicago billing address.

My plan was to AP the tickets online and print them at home using my California address as the shipping address.

I will be in California starting early May so I was planning on hitting up Disneyland before summer truly starts.

Shipping address doesn't matter. The billing address must be SoCal or Baja California, or the card will be rejected.

Three months doesnt legaly make you a resident, but you can buy SoCal tickets in person by showing a rental agreement or utility bill within the zip code.

I know that to be a legal resident of California you have to reside here for 6 months. As PPs have said, if your billing address is out of state you won't qualify. I'd buy a deluxe or premium pass anyway as the blackout dates for the SoCal passes make them totally useless for the majority of the time you'll be in SoCal.

To order online, you will need a SoCal billing address. If you purchase in person, you will needs bills in your name with a SoCal address. You will need ID at the gate.

Yup, sorry, you won't qualify for the So Cal deals as you are not considered a So Cal resident. You may be able to purchase them but when you redeem them you will be denied. I think a Deluxe is the way to go in your situation.

Agree with Malcontent - nice handle!

It's easy, just go down to the DMV and purchase and ID, it's cheaper than a drivers license. Then I'd purchase an AP which you can enjoy all summer. I've had a CA ID for years but it's been awhile since I've lived there.
