Hurrah! Being a Pompey supporter this is great news! :earboy2:

I'm not a football fan at all, but several members of my family are very sad to see the Saints go down :(

Great celebrations in our house tonight, West Brom, The great escape.

Honestly guv, it wasn't me sending those taunting texts to my Southampton supporting friends.

 Look how angelic I am!

Well now they're down, I'm actually quite pleased  Only because it means I get to see my team - Queens Park Rangers - playing nearby next year.

Given up with Bournemouth getting promoted, so thank you Saints ;)

Sadly it wasn't Man Utd ;) although once Malcolm Glazer has full control who knows what next season might bring :teeth:

What an incredible last day of the season. At one stage every one of the four teams liable for relegation were in the coveted fourth from bottom spot. I think all the teams deserve praise for the way they have battled to save their Premiership status. The Premiership is the best league in the world beyond question.

At the end of the day if you do not get enough points you go down.

Southampton have pushed their luck for a while now so no sympathy here I am afraid.

Pity Norwich were relegated it means the Super Blues will not be assured of 6 points next season!

It was a sad day down here for Saints supporters and I feel for them. They I think it was good to have a Premiership team coming from the city and I hope that they'll go up again swiftly.

I'm not a Saints supporter but many of my friends are and even those that aren't are sad :( and I feel for them.

I support West Ham - good luck to them for tonight in the second leg of the playoffs against Ipswich :cheer2:

I'm a Crystal Palace lass... we put up such a fight bless our cotton red and blue socks. I hope Dowie and Andy Johnson stay with us though - if they do then perhaps our bouncebackability will mean we'll be back in the premiership next year! ::yes::

I'm glad the Baggies stayed up. If Palace were to go down then I wanted them to win over Norwich and Southampton. Hopefully we'll mimic West Brom and go down only to go straight back up again! :jumping3:

Eagles! :cheer2:
