south florida family accommodation

we are a family of 5 and need some accommodation for february for a week . We fly in and out of miami and are looking to spend a week within a couple of hours drive from the airport. Have stayed in Fort Lauderdale for a couple of days before and really liked it - but we did spend our time shopping etc . I have been looking for a hotel that is close to beach at a reasonable rate but seem to be getting nowhere. Villas seem to be quite far away, expensive and booked up by the snowbirds!.....Any recommendations??

Hi, we are a family of 5, and spent 5 nights at the Vistana's Beach club on Hutchinson Island last week. Loved it! The hotel is set on the beach, there a alot of activities, and only really went shopping on the last day!
I have gone into more detail in my TR, and have photo's but not sure how to put them up! Any questions please ask, but we are already planning out next trip there and for longer!! xxx
