How will Sunday compare to what people are experiencing now do you think? Sunday will be our first day in the parks. I figured it would be busy, it sounds like weekends always are, but think it will be unusally busy? I assume crowds should taper off Mon/Tues/Wed??? Last year we were in the parks the same week and the week itself of dead, we never had a Sunday there.

It is the first weekend for Halloween season. Not one bit surprised by the crowds this weekend. I'd expect it to be very busy sunday too. If it were a bit cooler we'd be hoppong on over as well. We plan to visit tuesday or wednesday and are hoping for lower crowds. I think the evenings will still be crazy busy since the weather will be nicer, those who didn't go this weekend will be itching to come check out the decorations :)

Remember also Villas @ Grand Californian just opened, and will probably see some increase in visitors due to that!

I'd expect this weekend to be PACKED, to be honest. Maybe the heat will keep the locals away. It's gonna be brutal at DLR. Next week, it will cool down a lot, and that's when I plan to go and check out the Halloween stuff.

I hear so many local AP's holders (friends, family, co-workers) talking about going to DL as soon as the weather breaks. It's suppose to start really cooling off on Monday. Just a heads up.

Sundays, and Sunday nights have always seemed the busiest to me and DH - but if you plan it right, the massive crowds don't make too much of a difference. And yes, there will most likely be a drop off of crowds on the weekdays, but I still suspect it to be slightly higher than normal for this time of year because of all the attention to the Halloween attractions, decorations, and entertainment. Also, AP rates for the week are low (thats why we'll be there) and like PP said, the villas at GCH just opened as well. But despite this, I still don't expect it to be comparable to weekends in the summer or other holiday seasons.

Also another heads up, my son is going to be on a 3 week break from school starting on Monday. He's in a year round school in the local area.

There might be others...so might be an increase in crowds for the next few weeks due to this as well.

It will be busy. Many schools are closed for Yom Kippur on Monday, and I believe it is Utah break week.

Not all parts of Utah break next weekend. Just some. My sister lives about 1.5 hours North of me and her kids have a break next weekend (Oct. 1 and 2) for UEA (Utah Educators Association Convention), but mine don't have a break until Oct. 15 and 16th.
